“Black Sabbath”

Бирмингем хотын Вилла Парк цэнгэлдэхэд болсон “Black Sabbath” хамтлагийн эцсийн тоглолтыг “Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning” нэртэй баримтат кино болгон мөнхөлжээ.

“Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning” бүтээл аравдугаар сарын 28-наас эхлэн кино театруудад хязгаарлагдмал хугацаагаар гарч эхэлнэ.

Sharon Osbourne has revealed she kept the severity of her husband Ozzy’s poor health hidden from both their children and his Black Sabbath bandmates prior to his death.

The lead singer of the acclaimed British heavy metal group died from a reported heart attack at the age of 76, just over two weeks following his farewell concert on July 5 2025.

He had endured a series of health complications, including multiple operations following a fall as well as Parkinson’s disease.

The band’s final performance at Villa Park in Birmingham has been made into a concert film titled Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning.

Speaking during a screening of the film, Osbourne said: “The guys (in Black Sabbath) didn’t know how sick Ozzy was. Even my kids, we never told my kids. Nobody knew how sick he was.

“Besides that, just being together again in Aston Villa – where it all began – their lives must have been flashing through their heads while they were on that stage.”

The Osbournes married in 1982 and share three children, Aimee, 43; Kelly, 41; and Jack, 40.

Ozzy was also father to Jessica, Louis and adopted son Elliot, from his earlier marriage to Thelma Riley.

Osbourne discussed Ozzy’s health difficulties prior to the concert, including his struggle with emphysema and his anxieties surrounding whether he would be able to sing on the day.

She said: “He was just praying that his lungs would work and he could sing. With everything else that was wrong with him, he had emphysema so for him to breathe was very hard.

“He could be great for two days and on the third day, he’d wake up and all you’d hear was wheezing and he couldn’t breathe, it was tough.”

Asked what Ozzy was like after the concert, Osbourne said: “He was so happy. Until the day he passed, he was still on that high, so thankful to everyone.

“It was so joyous for us to see because we hadn’t seen him like that for years. He was laughing, telling jokes again. It was brilliant.”

Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham in 1968 and went on to become one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time, with Ozzy dubbed the ‘Prince of Darkness’.

Osbourne said the concert film demonstrates the success of the genre over the years.

She explained: “You see artist after artist filling stadiums now with this music and it’s wonderful to see it.”

Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back To The Beginning features the singer alongside his original bandmates: guitarist Tony Iommi, drummer Bill Ward and bassist Geezer Butler.

The film is in cinemas for a limited run from October 28 and tickets can be bought at backtothebeginning.com.
