Every UFC fight fan should know who Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett are, but apparently not everyone knows the two lightweights fought earlier this year.
Right now, Gaethje and Pimblett are two of the most popular names in mixed martial arts (MMA). Gaethje is one of the biggest fan favorites of the past decade and is coming off a spectacular upset win over Ilia Topuria at UFC’s White House event this past summer to claim the undisputed UFC lightweight title. Pimblett, on the other hand, is 8-1 under the UFC banner and coming off a huge submission win over Benoit Saint Denis last July.
As most should know, Gaethje and Pimblett locked horns at UFC 324 back in January of this year. While Pimblett fought hard and lasted all five rounds, it was Gaethje who dominated the action and put a beating on “Baddy” to walk away with the interim gold (watch HERE). It was one of Gaethje’s most impressive outings to date and a performance that launched him into his title fight with Topuria.
Earlier this week, Gaethje went golfing like he always does and was accompanied by a hardcore Pimblett fan. The guy started talking about Pimblett without knowing Gaethje beat him up earlier this year. It didn’t take Gaethje long to crack and reveal that he’s one who handed “Baddy” is only UFC loss to date. It was a little awkward, but more embarrassing than anything.
