Nordisk Games appoints Stefanía Halldórsdóttir as CEO and Ásgeir Kröyer as CFO
Nordisk Games has named Stefanía Halldórsdóttir as CEO and Ásgeir Kröyer as CFO.
These appointments follow the recent publishing agreement between subsidiaries Avalanche Studios Group and Supermassive Games.
Halldórsdóttir and Kröyer will retain their positions as CEO and CFO of Avalanche Studios Group.
“Stefanía and Ásgeir have built Avalanche Studios Group into everything we want our studios to be: creatively ambitious, operationally excellent and growing,” said former interim CEO and Nordisk Film chair Allan Mathson Hansen.
“Putting that experience at the centre of Nordisk Games is the natural next step for the group. With this new leadership in place, we look forward to continuing to pursue our growth ambitions within games.”
Halldórsdóttir added: “I’m proud to take this on, and grateful to Allan for the foundation he’s laid and the trust he’s shown. Nordisk Games should be an active owner that gives its studios what they need to do their best work.”
“For us, that starts with investing in games and the teams behind them. Our studios lead their games creatively, and everything we do as an owner is in service of that work; that’s the reason this group works. Ásgeir and I will continue to lead from Stockholm, which remains home for us.”
