Brazil and Morocco have confirmed their starting teams as both teams start their 2026 World Cup campaign at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Saturday.
The record five-time champions are among the favourites for the title but have not lifted the trophy since 2002.
The two-time African champions had their best-ever run at the 2022 edition in Qatar, reaching the semi-finals.
The match is the first to take place in Group C, which continues when Haiti meet Scotland in Boston hours later (02:00 BST).

World Cup 2026: Brazil confirmed team vs Morocco
Defender Eder Militao (thigh), winger Willian Estevao (hamstring) and forward Rodrygo (knee) missed out on Brazil’s squad through injury.
Full-back Wesley (adductor) withdrew earlier this week and was replaced by Atalanta midfielder Ederson, who is poised to join Manchester United.
All-time Brazil top scorer Neymar was a surprise inclusion in the squad after barely featuring at club level over the last three years because of injuries. The Santos striker is continuing his rehabilitation on an injured left calf.

Defender Nayef Aguerd missed out on Morocco’s squad with a groin injury and forward Abde Ezzalzouli withdrew after damaging a knee in a collision with teammate Chadi Riad against Norway.
Angers forward Amine Sbai and veteran centre-back or midfielder Marwane Saadane, of Saudi side Al-Fateh, replaced the duo.
