This is the Eddie Hall vs. Tommy Fury live blog for the heavyweight exhibition bout Saturday evening at AO Arena in Manchester, England.
Hall is a World’s Strongest Man champion who has dabbled in combat sports with memorable results. In his pro boxing debut in 2022, Hall lost a decision to Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, but he has since rebounded with an impressive win in a 2 vs. 1 freak show fight, and a knockout of fellow World’s Strongest Man legend Mariusz Pudzianowski, in an MMA contest. “The Beast” outweighed Fury by over 100 pounds at Friday’s official weigh-ins.
Fury, a reality TV star and the half-brother of heavyweight boxing king Tyson Fury, is undefeated in 11 pro boxing bouts. He’s no stranger to the influencer boxing circuit, having scored notable wins over Jake Paul, KSI, and Misfits Boxing standout Anthony Taylor.

Well, that co-main event was weird. Anthony Taylor gave a horrible performance, then spazzed out. Saying he got icy hot in his eyes, tried to start a brawl, and just acting like a lunatic.
So, that’s the set up for this very curious main event. Let’s see how it goes.
Now we’re to the walkouts and Eddie Hall is no nonsense. He has a terrifying look on his face and his marches immediately to the ring, looking like a bear on his hind legs. The commentary notes “in a different time, that man would have conquered nations,” and that’s exactly right.
Fury takes a more measured walk to the ring. He’s not a small man at all, and looks to be in great shape, but he’s gonna have to be on his bike, sticking and moving. But he looks very comfortable, singing and dancing. And he really takes his time. Fury’s walkout has already been legitimately 10 times as long as Hall’s.
Eddie weighs 325.6 pounds, and looks like he wants to eat Tommy. Fury weighs 217.5, and he looks like he’s ready for a boxing match.
Both men out in orthodox and Hall takes the center immediately. Fury circling away, but man, Eddie is so big, he takes up half the ring. Hall pressuring aggressively and putting a jab out there, and Fury is just scrambling around the ring, never stationary. Fury lances a jab in there as Hall chases him around the ring and misses a right hand.
Hall has no ring-cutting ability and that’s a problem. He charges in wildly and Fury moves. Then sticks to the body with a jab. Clearly Fury is planning to minimize contact early. But Hall gets him to the ropes and unloads a combo. Hall lands a good right hand in there before Fury can run away. He keeps coming but Fury is on his bike.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Hall.
Hall is a big man, and needs lots of oxygen. The two-minute rounds will help, but he’s breathing deeply in his corner.
Fury has a welt on his cheek from that right hand. And he’s right on his bike again. Hall is hunting him down and swinging his right hand like an ax. Fury isn’t putting enough offense back at Hall, and that’s a problem. Hall has nothing to be concerned about. And he gets Fury to the ring and lands a pair of rights.
Fury with a few jabs and then a right hand, but Hall lands a right afterward. Fury’s best work. Hall is slowing clearly already. He’s marching forward less aggressively as Fury jabs and continues to move.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Hall, 20-18 Hall.
Hall is probably up 2-0, but that second round could go either way. But Hall dropped off harshly the back half of that round. Expect Fury to pick up his offense this round.
Hall comes forward quickly and Fury moves up. He lands a good right hand in space but Hall closes him down and unloads. Then does it again. Fury moving and sticks a jab down the middle. Hall charges in and this time Fury steps off it and lands a nice pair of right hands that gets Hall moving back.
Fury sticks a right hand to the body. He’s still moving away, but now he’s finding spots for his offense. And he comes forward behind a six punch combo, backing Hall up, and he lands a jab before the end of the round.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Fury, 29-28 Hall overall.
Hall back to the center, but he comes in to clumsily and Fury slips and counters. Then again. Fury is still fresh, and he stands his ground when Hall comes in, landing a hard pair of hooks. Credit to Hall, he keeps marching, but he’s clearly tired. Big breaths as he moves forward.
Fury not pressing his own offense, but still moving. Then lands a good one as Hall came in, but Hall kept coming and landed a good right hand. Then another as they stay tied up. Fury moving away, lands to the body. Hall can’t find him again before the end.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Fury, 38-38 overall.
Hall back on the march and gets Fury to the ropes quickly. He looks a little refreshed and he’s swinging hard, but not landing. Clinches. Hall comes in and Fury slips and counters with two big shots.Hall showing some markings on the face, and now Fury is coming forward, with his jab. Hall clinches.
Sharp pull counter from Fury. He’s got Hall backing up, and then digs to the body. And another.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Fury, 48-47 Fury overall.
This is formulaic at this point. Hall is pretty tired and Fury is fresh. Unless he can find 2 minutes of a second wind, he’s cooked.
Hall out strong and lands a nice right hand to start as Fury was on the ropes. Clinch and break. Hall keeps coming and Fury stands his ground and they swing! Both men landing in here as they fire and then clinch. That was fun.
Fury on his bike, Hall trying to chase him down. Fury on defense, less offense. Can’t win like this. Hall keeps crushing into him. Not landing, but Fury isn’t either. There’s a right hand from Fury. But Hall jumps after him and lands a right. Hall lands a body shot as Fury runs away, and Fury may have just punted that fight awy.
MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 Hall, 57-57 overall.
Tommy Fury def. Eddie Hall via majority decision (59-56, 58-56, 57-57)
Tommy Fury vs. Eddie Hall Fight Highlights
Fury is getting loudly booed by the crowd. Then he reveals his shirt, with his new son’s name on it, Midas, before giving Hall props.
“Listen, anyone out there who think Eddie Hall is a strongman who can’t fight, think again.”
Hall talks about the fight, and he’s in good spirits, says he just couldn’t track him down. Then admits he was accidentally cheating with backhands, because he’s been training MMA. He then gives Fury props for his baby boy.
Misfits brings Chase DeMoor into the ring, and Fury no sells him, saying he isn’t going to fight DeMoor until he fights his brother, Roman (they were previously booked). DeMoor is trying to be classy, and Fury’s brother is being a bit of a nonce, yelling at him, trying to set it up. DeMoor lobbies for Tommy, but Tommy insists on Roman. Roman Fury and DeMoor start arguing, and then as Misfits tries to move on, Roman Fury takes a swing at DeMoor.
This whole thing has turned into a very silly affair.
