Bleach‘s sequel is officially in its final stretch as the studio announced the release date for the final season. After airing the first three seasons annually, the upcoming season will mark a two-year gap. It will bring Ichigo Kurosaki’s story to a close.
Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War confirms final season release date
On Sunday, VIZ Media announced that Bleach is returning for its concluding season, titled “BLEACH: Thousand-Year Blood War Final Part – The Calamity,” on July 25, 2026. The post also included an artwork featuring Ichigo Kurosaki standing, while the Quincy King, Yhwach, flies over him in one of his forms.
The release date is specific to the anime airing in Japan. At this moment, the studio has yet to announce a streaming release date in the United States. If previous seasons are any indication, Season 4 may arrive on streaming platforms like Hulu and Disney+ shortly after its original broadcast.
Additionally, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Calamity will reportedly premiere its first three episodes in U.S. theaters from June 25–29. The event, organized by VIZ Media and Fathom Entertainment, includes Japanese and English versions plus exclusive behind-the-scenes content with creator Tite Kubo and the production team (via ComicBook.com).
Bleach is an extremely popular Shōnen anime series based on Tite Kubo’s iconic manga of the same name. It follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who gains the powers of a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) from Rukia Kuchiki and is tasked with protecting humans from evil spirits.
The Thousand-Year Blood War arc began its anime adaptation in 2022. It was followed by two more installments in 2023 and 2024, respectively. The upcoming season is likely to adapt chapters 664 through 686 of the manga.
The arc centers on the massive conflict between the Soul Reapers and the Quincy, led by Yhwach. After centuries of preparation, Yhwach launched an invasion on the Soul Society to exact revenge. He aims to merge the Human World, the Soul Society, and Hueco Mundo into a single realm to rule.
