Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis, revealed that she has extended her contract with General Hospital. She expressed her gratitude for the opportunity before sharing why people should watch soaps now more than ever. Moreover, the actress also answered what storylines of Alexis she wants to explore and bring to life.

During a conversation with Soapy, hosted by Rebecca Budig and Greg Rikaart, Grahn revealed that she re-signed the contract for the next three years while expressing gratefulness for the opportunity. “It’s such a great job,” she added. The topic moved on to the soaps getting renewed momentum after the lack of uncertainty around their future. Grahn then shared her thoughts on why she feels fans should continue watching them now. “Right now, more than ever, because it’s familiar, it’s consistent, it’s dependable, it’s harmless,” she said.
Later, the hosts asked her what unexplored storyline involving Alexis she would like to see happen. Grahn responded that when she looks back, she feels good that she got so many opportunities to play the character in different storylines. While she does have a lot of ideas, the 70-year-old said that she also has full trust in the writers on the direction they will steer her story.
“I kind of just have… But I will come up with something, some ideas sometimes, and I’ll just go suggest to them and see if they do it,” she continued. Grahn was further questioned by Rikaart on whether the writers had ever heard her. To this, she mentioned, “Yeah, they have actually. Sometimes they have.”She also refused to reveal any ideas, citing that she has too many of them and that she couldn’t recall them in the moment. “And by the way, if I ever it was my idea, and they took it, they wouldn’t want me to say it was my idea,” she added. The actress also appreciated the writing team’s open-mindedness.
