There’s a guy in Los Angeles, California who decided to turn his love for cars into an interesting hobby.
He regularly takes photos of the coolest cars he can spot driving down the freeway in Los Angeles, and some of the vehicles he spotted are quite extraordinary.
Aside from the usual array of supercars, he also managed to immortalize some exotic rarities.
Including what is either a ‘homage’ or a very, very expensive vehicle.
California is still a great place for supercar lovers
Fuel prices are outrageous (and they keep on rising) and taxes are high, but California is still a great place for car lovers.
Possibly because California is still one of the wealthiest states in the US.
The list of expensive and rare supercars this guy has spotted from his window overlooking a Los Angeles freeway is long and varied.

Among others, we spotted a TVR Tuscan – which is a very rare sports car from the UK – an Italian Lancia Delta Integrale, a couple of Ford GTs, a Lotus Exige, a Porsche Carrera GT, a Ferrari F40, a Lamborghini Countach, a couple of Aston Martins, and even a Porsche 918 Spyder.
He also spotted a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren and a Lexus LFA.
The Lexus LFA is particularly noteworthy.

Launched with a bit of skepticism around 16 years ago, it is now worth close to $1 million.
And speaking of LFA, this car spotter has also photographed several Japanese icons.
We saw a Nissan Skyline R33, a Mitsubishi Lancer EVO, an Acura NSX, and a Toyota that’s potentially one of the most expensive cars in the world.

Is this a ‘copy’ or the real thing?
This car spotter took a picture of what looks like an identical ‘copy’ of the Toyota Supra driven by Paul Walker and Vin Diesel in the first Fast & Furious film.
Finished in orange with a unique livery, the Supra was the protagonist of the movie because it was the ’10-second car’ that Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, gave Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto.
O’Conner – an undercover cop – infiltrated Dominic’s group to bust him but ended up befriending him.
When O’Conner lost the first race to Dom, Dom told him he owed him a 10-second car, as in a car that could do the quarter-mile in 10 seconds or less.
In one of the last scenes of the movie – and at that point his cover was already blown – O’Conner gave Toretto his Toyota Supra to help him get away from the police.

“I owe you a 10-second car,” he told Dom.
One of the hero cars used in the movie was sold (at auction) in 2021 for around $550,000.
This means one of two things.
Either this Supra is the real deal, or it is a replica built using a period-correct Supra adorned with the same graphics and livery.
Either way, that’s one of the most expensive Toyotas in the world.
