Манчестер Ситигийн жигүүрийн тоглогч Жереми Доку клубтэйгээ таван жилийн хугацаатай шинэ гэрээ байгуулснаа албан ёсоор зарлалаа. 2023 онд Реннээс ирсэн 24 настай тоглогч өнгөрсөн хугацаанд FA Cup болон EFL Cup-д түрүүлэхэд үнэтэй хувь нэмэр оруулж, 8 гоол, 14 оновчтой дамжуулалтаар багийн гол тоглогчдын нэг болсон юм.
Доку өөрийгөө хараахан бүрэн төлөвшөөгүй, цаашид хөгжих боломж ихтэй тоглогч гэдгээ хүлээн зөвшөөрөв. Тэрээр Манчестер Ситид ирэхдээ хэн ч таньдаггүй байсан бол өдгөө багийнхаа итгэлийг хүлээж, ийм том клубт үргэлжлүүлэн тоглох нь нэр төрийн хэрэг гэдгийг онцолжээ.
Шинэ гэрээний дараа Доку 2025/26 оны улирлыг дүгнэхдээ өмнөх жилүүдээсээ илүү үр дүнтэй тоглож, багийн амжилтад илүү оролцоотой байснаа тэмдэглэв. Тэрээр Фил Фоден, Жошко Гвардиол, Абдукодир Хусанов нарын араас гэрээгээ сунгасан тоглогч болж байгаа бөгөөд шинэ дасгалжуулагч Энцо Марескагийн удирдлага дор ур чадвараа улам ахиулах зорилготой байна.

Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku says he is still an “unfinished product” after putting pen to paper on his new five-year deal at the Etihad.
Doku joined City from Rennes in 2023 and enjoyed a breakthrough season last year with eight goals and 14 assists in helping the club win an FA Cup and EFL Cup double.
The 24-year-old will be a key figure for new City boss Enzo Maresca and he believes there is still plenty of room for improvement in his game.
He told the club’s official website: “I am so happy that they trusted in me first of all and that I can continue to play for this big club.
“I remember when I arrived here from France a bit of an underdog. Nobody really knew me. I had to prove myself and being able now to sign a new contract shows that they trusted me and that they appreciate how I’ve been playing. So now it’s just a privilege.
“I think everyone wants to play in a team that wins a lot, so I think I’m at the right place if you want to win trophies, if you want to be up there, if you want to grow as a player.
“I feel like in the last couple of years I’ve learnt so much and I’m still an unfinished product.
“So that’s why I feel like this decision has been an easy one.”
Doku hoping to build on best season in a City shirt
Doku is the latest City player to sign a new deal, following on from Phil Foden, Josko Gvardiol and Abdukodir Khusanov. And he is hoping to build on last season’s success as City look to win the title for the first time since 2024.
“I feel like compared to the other two seasons, [it was] more complete [last season],” Doku reflected on his 2025/26 campaign.
“From the start to the end, obviously there is always going to be bad games, but I was more involved. I played more; I was more efficient. And yeah [there were] goals and assists. I feel like when I look back there was still a lot of games where I could have scored or had an assist.
“But compared to the other two seasons there has been growth, positively, every season better. But like I said before I feel like I’m still an unfinished project.
“When I look back, I can be happy, but I feel like I look also forward to the next seasons and to the season that is going to come now.
“I’m looking forward. I’m looking forward also appreciating what I already achieved. Appreciating that I get a chance to play for a big club like this.”
