Rockstar’s GTA VI is not out just yet, but someone has commissioned a GTA vehicle to be made into a real-life car.
In a dream for many people, DARTZ Vehicles has been commissioned to make a special one-off SUV based on a fan favorite from GTA Online.
Details on the SUV are somewhat sketchy; however, what we do know is that an undisclosed party has commissioned the car.
This will be a very rare occasion where a car only seen in a video game actually becomes a real creation.
What GTA vehicle is the real car based on?
The real car is based on the HVY Nightshark that entered the GTA Online universe in 2017.
Unlike any SUV you can buy from a dealership, it came equipped with plenty of armour.
It borrowed lots of design cues from DARTZ Vehicles’ range, the Latvian custom carmaker.
The company is responsible for cars such as the Kombat, a car that lent a lot of its design to this GTA-style creation.
The DARTZ Prombron Black Shark also provided some design inspiration.
If you have ever seen the rear of the Black Alligator, you will notice similarities with the Nightshark.
Even the side exhaust is inspired by a DARTZ machine, the Kombat Aladeen Edition.
This was a car seen in the film The Dictator, starring Sacha Baron Cohen.
Why the GTA car is no longer just pixels on a screen
So for nine years, the HVY Nightshark was simply a few pixels on our screen.
However, that is about to change.
An undisclosed commissioning party got in touch with DARTZ and asked if they would bring the car to life.
The offer was accepted, and DARTZ has been working on turning the Nightshark into a genuine road-legal vehicle.
DARTZ is keen to stress that this is not just a movie prop or a copy of the virtual car.

It is their own vehicle, which has simply had heavy influence from the virtual machine.
“The client did not ask us to copy pixels. The client asked us to build what the pixels were trying to become,” said Leonard F. Yankelovich, DARTZ RFE
“The game world assembled one monster from our entire family. Now a customer has sent that monster back to Riga with a bank transfer,” he added.
What do we know about the mystery buyer?
DARTZ is not disclosing who has commissioned the car.
In fact, it is refusing to say whether it is a private individual who has commissioned it, or if it is a company.
They are keeping their cards close to their chests.

What we do know is that we won’t have to wait much longer to see it in public.
The car is set to have a full reveal during the release week of GTA VI.
GTA VI, if all goes to plan, will land on consoles on November 19th 2026.
