Solar Storm
Variety reports David Hackl (Saw V) is attached to direct Solar Storm, a “neo-noir action thriller” starring Jack Hudson (The Devil’s Train) and Lorena Andrea (Warrior Nun). Based on a script by Joe Rabl, the story is said to “unfold over a single catastrophic day,” and follows Joe (Hudson), “an ex-convict fighting to leave his past behind, whose path collides with Jasmine (Andrea), a woman desperate to escape a brutal marriage. When the largest solar storm in recorded history knocks out power, communications and order across the city, blackouts spiral into looting and riots. As the line between predator and prey burns away, the two go on the run through 24 hours of darkness — hunted by forces that may prove more dangerous than the storm overhead.”
Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew
According to DP Seamus McGarvey on a recent episode of the We Need to Talk About Oscar podcast (via World of Reel), Greta Gerwig’s Narnia movie had a $280 million production budget, making it Netflix’s second most-expensive movie after The Electric State.
Man of Tomorrow
During a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nathan Fillion revealed Man of Tomorrow will “update” Guy Gardener’s infamous bowl cut “just a little bit.”

Cliffhanger
According to Dark Horizons, the Cliffhanger reboot starring Lily James and Pierce Brosnan is now scheduled for a February 24, 2027 release date through NEON.
James Bond 26
According to a recent rumor from various “entertainment insiders,” Amazon has chosen a surprise dark horse actor to play the next James Bond.

Relatedly, a Black Mirror parody episode of The Simpsons will air exclusively on Disney+ this August 26. In the first of two stories, “a defective lamp reveals a heartbreaking truth about what Homer believes is reality,” while the second sees, “an AI-powered tablet befriend and control Maggie.”
LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian
A new report from Star Wars Holocron states Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role has Cobb Vanth in LEGO Stars: The Mandalorian, premiering this September 2 on Disney+.
Timothy Olyphant is finally returning to play Cobb Vanth after a 4 year absence.
