It’s often said that Chinese technology is about thirty years ahead of the rest of the world.

Well, if this demonstration of Li Auto’s parking technology is anything to go by, they might be fifty years ahead.

And if you hate reverse parking, this may just sway you into buying a Chinese car.

Chinese cars are running their own race

A select few countries enjoy top billing in the automotive world.

Whether it’s Germany with BMW or Italy with Ferrari, there are a select few nations which are on top form when it comes to producing cars.

But in recent years, China has been making its mark in a big way.

BYD

Whether it’sreplicating classic 1950s American carsorbeating BMWs and Audis in suspension tests, these cars from the east are making a big impression in a multitude of ways.

BYD has been particularly noteworthy, outselling Tesla in several markets around the world.

But now its Chinese carmaker Li Auto that’s making a name for itself.

One American man even declared that the Li Xiang L7 Max could ‘go toe-to-toe’ with the Range Rover Sport SVR.

Another declared Li Auto’s minivan ‘the best EV you can’t buy’.

High praise, indeed.

And you can only expect more of that when you see this video that’s been doing the rounds online.

This Chinese SUV can park itself perfectly

Content creator Evgeniia Zasorina shared a clip of her Li Auto L7 extended-range electric SUV in action.

Since sharing the clip online, it has recirculated on other pages too.

In the video, Zasorina pulled up outside her garage before directing the route into the garage via the infotainment screen.

She then proceeded to get out of the car and watch the Chinese SUV work its magic.

Masterfully, the car reversed into position, in what was an admittedly tight spot.

It was an impressive display of technological ingenuity, and people online knew that straight away.

“China is way ahead of the world, and not enough people are talking about it,” one person wrote.

“Technology shouldn’t just look impressive; it should eliminate friction from daily life. China isn’t just building electric cars anymore; they are software companies on wheels redefining luxury through convenience,” another said.
