Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has explained the punishment Manchester City are likely to face after being found guilty in the 115 charges trial.
More than three years after they were first brought forward, it was revealed that Man City have been found guilty of all but one of the 115 Premier League charges on Friday afternoon.
Although City are likely to appeal the decision, many have wondered what kind of punishment City could face for the breaches, and Oasis star Gallagher has now weighed in on what his sources have told him.

Since news of the Man City verdict first emerged, it has been revealed that all possible punishments are believed to be on the table.
It is believed that a points deduction (immediate or suspended), financial penalties (immediate or suspended) or a removal from the Premier League are the most likely options.
However, according to Gallagher, City’s place in the English top-flight is safe as his sources have indicated that it will be a more financially-inspired punishment, should City lose their appeal.
Posting on X, the Oasis singer wrote: “Just been told by someone in a very very high position if we lose our appeal which we won’t we’ll be getting a FINE and TRANSFER BAN and that’s it so all you desperate neurotic S***KBUBBLES hush it up to ras MCFC LG x.”
Of course, as Gallagher referenced, if City are successful in their appeal, the potential punishment could be reduced or removed all together.
But, just because City are believed to have already launched an appeal doesn’t mean that a punishment cannot be handed to them before the appeal process is finished, meaning we could learn City’s fate at any time.
As for how long the appeal is likely to take, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak suggested that it could still be some time before this matter is resolved in his statement reacting to the verdict.
“Following Friday’s media reporting, many of you will have spent your evening answering questions and responding to messages from friends, family and colleagues. So have I,” the City chairman said in his statement.
“Here’s what I said to my family: The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the Club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began.
“There are so many things that I would like to be able to share with you to help you understand why we feel so confident in our position. But the strict confidentiality of the legal process and our determination to respect it means I cannot do that at the moment.”

Man City could face £100m of legal battles after 115 charges verdict
Unfortunately for Gallagher and Man City, even if they avoid Premier League relegation and instead are handed a fine and/or a transfer ban, it’s likely that legal action could follow from clubs in the Premier League, should the verdict be upheld.
Reports have claimed that several clubs have already had discussions with lawyers about launching a legal case to seek financial compensation for City’s actions.
Of the clubs impacted, it is those that missed out on Champions League qualification that are believed to have missed out on the most revenue, with City potentially facing nine figure legal cases with several of their biggest rivals.
However, legal action cannot commence until the appeals process has played out in full.
