The new installment in the Minions film series will begin streaming soon. The movie stars a host of A-listers in the voice cast.
Minions & Monsters streams exclusively on Peacock on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Directed by Pierre Coffin, the movie is the third installment in the Minions prequel series and the seventh film overall in the Despicable Me franchise.
The streamer will also include a collection of exclusive featurettes. These include behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with the filmmakers and the cast, how-to guides, and more.
The streaming debut comes four months after the movie premiered at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival on June 21, ahead of its July 1 theatrical release.
Here’s what to know about the movie’s cast and story
Minions & Monsters takes place in 1927, over four decades before the events of Minions (2015). Set during the transition from silent to sound films, the film follows the minions as they try to make their own monster movie in old Hollywood. However, production takes a chaotic turn as they accidentally unleash terrifying monsters onto the world. It is now up to the Minions to undo the error and save the world.
Minions & Monsters features director Pierre Coffin as the voice of all the minions, including James, Henry, Ed, Dick, and Greg. The movie has a stellar voice cast that includes Oscar-winners Allison Janney, Christoph Waltz, and Jeff Bridges. Additionally, Jesse Eisenberg, George Lucas, Zoey Deutch, Trey Parker, Bobby Moynihan, and more provide their voices.
The movie also features archival recordings from Steve Carell, Romesh Ranganathan, and Madison Polan.
Minions & Monsters has received critical acclaim following its premiere. While it underperformed compared to the rest of the franchise, the film was still a box-office success, grossing $524 million worldwide and becoming the ninth-highest-grossing film of 2026.
Peacock subscribers will also find several related Minions films available to stream on the platform before the release of Minions & Monsters.
