Maria Sten recently reflected on her dynamic with her Reacher and Neagley co-star Alan Ritchson as the two continue their collaboration in the Reacher universe. The two stars have worked together since the first season of the original series and recently reunited for the spin-off Neagley. In a recent interview, Sten explained how their dynamic carried over into the new show.

Maria Sten recently said working with Alan Ritchson on Neagley felt familiar because the pair had already developed a dynamic on Reacher. Their working relationship, which began with the first season of the original series, carried over into the spin-off without requiring a major adjustment.
“Alan and I have always had a really great working dynamic. We get along really well in how we approach the work. We both like to be very efficient and respectful of each other’s desire to get what we’re wanting out of the scene. So that hasn’t changed,” she said.
Sten also recalled an exchange with Ritchson that reflected how comfortable they had become with giving each other creative input. “I think we were joking about certain things, like he had a note and he was like, ‘Am I allowed to give a note?’ And I am like, ‘Of course you’re allowed to give a note.’” She explained that the exchange was particularly amusing because she also gives notes while working on Reacher.
“You know what I mean. Because I also give notes on Reacher. So we were just joking about it, but ultimately, I didn’t feel that anything had really changed in our dynamic, which is really nice,” Sten said.
The actress added, “I think we have worked together for a while now. So, I think there’s just an established way of us working together and figuring out a scene. So that was lovely to be able to continue that.”
Neagley premiered on Prime Video on September 16, 2026, with all eight episodes of its first season released at once.
