CBS Affiliate Anchor Mark Zinni confirms Channel 3 exit
Zinni shared a series of photos with his colleagues on Facebook as he confirmed his exit from Channel 3. He wrote, “I recently marked 12 years at Channel 3 and also my last day. None of it would’ve been possible without the wonderful bosses who brought me here and believed in me in 2014. After years of incredible memories, countless stories, breaking news, late nights and more laughter than I can remember, it’s time to say goodbye with peace and love.”
He further extended his gratitude for getting to work with the best talent on and off camera. Zinni also appreciated the friendship he made at the station, which he believes would continue to bloom beyond this job. He also thanked the fans who watched him for years and for how they have always been kind to him. He said that it means a lot to him. “You may see me again on TV in Connecticut, Cleveland or just out and about on Cape Cod. But for now, I’m very happy relaxing and forgetting the day of the week,” the now former WFSB anchor added.
Speculation about Zinni’s exit first surfaced in August, with them suggesting that he was no longer part of Channel 3 and that his profile had been removed. A few weeks later, he acknowledged fans’ concerns following the report, but did not reveal any details about his career move. The reason for his departure remains publicly undisclosed.
