Rockstar Games has released the launch trailer for the highly anticipated GTA 6, giving fans of the Grand Theft Auto series a fresh look at the open-world game, which drops next month.
The GTA 6 launch trailer, which is very Thelma & Louise-inspired, also debuts the brand-new track “Flower in a Hurricane”, featuring Justice, Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard as part of the game’s original score.
The trailer begins with Jason talking about being a military veteran and how nobody helps guys like him out in life once they’re out of the service. He then gets a call from his girlfriend, Lucia, presumably to let him know she’s ready to be picked up and leave her life in a prison cell behind.

GTA 6 launch trailer is finally here
It’s an action-packed GTA VI launch trailer full of explosions, as you’d expect from Rockstar Games. It features heists, jumps onto moving planes on a runway, drives through the gorgeous scenery of Vice City, police chases, and, not to mention, those shower scenes featuring a naked Jason! The trailer perfectly encapsulates Jason and Lucia’s ride-or-die bond as they fight to climb the criminal ranks of Vice City.
One major bonus of the GTA VI launch trailer dropping today is that it gives fans another reason to believe the game is on track for release. While its release date has been set in stone for a while, there’s always been that little doubt that GTA VI could be delayed just one more time. Thankfully, the new trailer is a positive sign as we count down to launch.
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

GTA 6 launch trailer sparks huge reaction from fans
“HOLY S*** NEW TRAILERRR”, yelled an excited SynthPotato.
“We cannot contain our excitement!” declared GTABase.
“LUCIA IN THE SHOWER”, said a thirsty MahomesToKelce.
“LETS GOOOO!” added GameRoll.
“WE’RE IN THE END GAME NOW!” replied SpawnPoiint.

What’s the story of GTA 6?
“Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them,” reads the synopsis of Grand Theft Auto VI.
“But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”
