VALORANT Champions Tour will bring its 2027 season to 15 cities, with the international spotlight landing on Seoul, València and Austin. The calendar also sends regional Kickoff and Cup events across the Americas, EMEA, Pacific and China, giving the year a genuinely global footprint, according to esports.gg.
The schedule arrives alongside the introduction of VCT Cups, as Riot plans more than 50 tournaments across the year. Open Qualifiers are also part of the picture: esports.gg reports that they will be held everywhere, creating more chances for amateur squads to enter the VCT. That is a lot of competition to fit around three global stops and 12 regional host cities.
The new event structure is a major part of the VCT’s 2027 changes, but the confirmed locations are the clearest sign yet of how widely the calendar will travel.
A calendar with stops on four regional maps
The season begins with regional Kickoffs from January 14 to February 7. Those events are split across four cities before the first international tournament brings the qualified teams together in South Korea.
- Kickoff: January 14–February 7, in São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok and Hangzhou.
- Masters Seoul: February 20–March 3, in Seoul, South Korea.
- VCT Cup 1: April 29–May 23, in Mexico City, Warsaw, Manila and Wuhan.
- Masters València: June 5–20, in València, Spain.
- VCT Cup 2: Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul, Tokyo and Shanghai. The published schedule does not give dates for this stage.
- Champions and Game Changers: September 16–October 10, in Austin, Texas.
The regional Kickoffs determine which Open teams can qualify for Masters Seoul, while Cup 1 feeds into Masters València. Cup 2 follows the second Masters and comes before the Austin finale. Readers following how regional events connect to international competition will recognize the familiar calendar logic, now spread across more host cities.
Open Qualifiers widen the route in
For amateur teams, the important detail is not just the distance between the cities. Riot’s plan includes Open Qualifiers throughout the year, which the source describes as creating more opportunities for squads to enter the VCT. The exact routes and formats are not detailed in the schedule announcement, so the confirmed takeaway is access through qualifiers-not a promise that every open team has the same path.
The year’s first regional events start January 14, 2027, in São Paulo, Berlin, Bangkok and Hangzhou. Masters Seoul follows from February 20 to March 3, while Cup 2 remains the notable calendar gap: its four cities are confirmed, but its dates have not been provided in the source material.
