The singer and actress Ariana Grande, 33, has paid tribute to her pet dog Coco following the animal’s death at 17 years old.
Marking the loss on Instagram, the “Into You” hitmaker shared a gallery of photographs alongside a message of remembrance for her long-time companion.
“sweetest, most amazing and most beautiful coco … i am so proud of you. thank you for your love, and for blessing this planet with your physical presence for over seventeen wonderful years. (sic)” she wrote.
Grande acknowledged that she will miss Coco “every day”.
She added: “you make everywhere you go a more beautiful place. i will miss you every day and hold you in my heart always. i love you so, sweet girl. (sic)”
Coco featured in Grande’s very first YouTube music vlog, where the pop star conducted her initial “interview” with the pet.
The dog subsequently landed her own X account under the username MissCocoGrande.
However, the final update was posted on April 18, 2012, after Grande’s 43-year-old brother, Frankie Grande, spent time playing with the animal.
It read: “BEST DAY EVER! RT
@FrankieJGrande – Just a friendly game of morning Ringtoss with the one and only, @misscocogrande ! 🙂 (sic)”

Speaking to Billboard in 2015, she said: “I got involved with dog rescues by simply loving animals.
“Dogs are the most harmless, sweetest babes in the world.

The musician has adopted numerous rescue dogs across the years, including Toulouse, a Beagle-Chihuahua cross taken in during 2013.
Toulouse has gone on to feature in multiple music videos, an advertising campaign for Coach, and on the cover of Vogue.
Grande has also cared for Myron, a Pit Bull mix.

The dog originally belonged to her late ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller. Grande formally adopted Myron following Mac Miller’s tragic passing in 2018, even having his name tattooed on her foot.
Additionally, the pop star and her then-fiancé Pete Davidson, 32, adopted a pot-bellied micro pig named Piggy Smallz in 2018.
The animal serves as an emotional support pet and starred in the music video for her track Breathin.
