After 53 years of waiting, the New York Knicks finally have another NBA championship ring, and the franchise made sure its long-awaited return to the basketball throne would be commemorated in spectacular fashion.
Ahead of their 2026-27 season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers, the defending NBA champions unveiled an extraordinary piece of jewelry at Madison Square Garden, celebrating the organization’s first championship since 1973.
Designed by renowned luxury jeweler Jason Arasheben of Jason of Beverly Hills, the ring features nearly 800 diamonds and sapphires totaling approximately 22 carats, all set in white gold. However, its most remarkable feature is not the gemstones, but an elaborate mechanism that transforms the ring into a miniature tribute to the world’s most famous basketball arena.
With a simple twist, the top of the ring rises to reveal a detailed replica of Madison Square Garden’s exterior. Opening it further exposes an intricate recreation of the arena’s interior, including its lower seating bowl and distinctive ceiling architecture.
The ring also contains numerous hidden references to New York’s historic championship campaign. Sixteen emerald-cut diamonds represent the team’s 16 playoff victories, while a specially selected 0.16-carat diamond commemorates the Knicks’ dramatic 16-point comeback in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs.
Additional details include the phrase “Knicks in Five,” honoring New York’s Finals victory over San Antonio, as well as “10 weeks,” a reference to the commitment and sacrifices demanded during the team’s championship pursuit. Individual rings also feature personalized player names and jersey numbers.

The elaborate design reflects the significance of a championship that generations of Knicks fans had waited to experience. After claiming their first two titles in 1970 and 1973, New York endured more than half a century without another championship before finally breaking through in 2026.
For Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and their teammates, the ring represents far more than another extravagant piece of NBA championship jewelry. It is a permanent reminder of the season in which they ended one of basketball’s longest and most painful title droughts.
And with an entire miniature Madison Square Garden hidden inside, the Knicks may have created one of the most remarkable championship rings in NBA history.
