The R6 Osaka Major is nearly here. Twenty of the best Siege teams on the planet are heading to Japan for the final Major of 2026, with $600,000 on the table and a big pile of points up for grabs in the race to the Six Invitational 2027 in Brazil.
It’s also Japan’s first-ever Major, and the first top-tier international Siege LAN in the country since the Pro League Season 10 Finals in Tokoname back in 2019. Shame about how qualifying went for the locals, but we’ll get to that.
When and Where is the R6 Osaka Major?
The BLAST R6 Major Osaka runs from 6 to 15 November 2026. The play-in and Swiss Stage are played online, then the final eight head to ATC Hall in Osaka for the playoffs from 13 November.
Quick warning if you’re in Europe or North America: with everything built around Japanese time, a lot of matches land when you should be asleep. Plan accordingly, or just give up on sleep for ten days like the rest of us.
Catch it all on the Rainbow 6 Twitch channel and the Rainbow Six Esports YouTube channel.
R6 Osaka Major format
Twelve teams go straight into the Swiss Stage, while the other eight fight over four spots in a double-elimination play-in, with Bo1 openers and Bo3s after that.
From there it’s a 16-team Swiss Stage from 8 to 11 November, with the top eight securing spots in the LAN stage. The playoffs are single elimination, Bo3 all the way until a Bo5 Grand Final on 15 November. The winner takes home $200,000 and 1,500 SI points.
With this being the final Major before the Invitational, it’s the last way for teams to secure enough points.
R6 Osaka Major teams
These are the 12 teams starting in the Swiss Stage:
- Europe and MENA: Team Falcons, Geekay Esports, G2 Esports
- North America: 100 Thieves, Cloud9, M80
- South America: FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, Fluxo W7M
- China: EDward Gaming
- Asia: Sharper Esports
- Oceania: ENTERPRISE Esports
The R6 Major Osaka is also a great chance to watch some of the very best Siege players in the world.
R6 Osaka Major Play-in Bracket
Ubisoft has now locked in the Phase 1 bracket. The upper bracket goes on 6 November with these four openers:
- DarkZero vs TYLOO
- All Gamers vs LOS
- Dplus KIA vs Weibo Gaming
- KINGZERO vs Virtus.pro
Win your opener, and you’re one series from the Swiss Stage, as both upper final winners go straight through. Everyone else drops into the lower bracket on 7 November to scrap over the last two spots. Lose twice, and your Major is over before it starts.
R6 Osaka Major Twitch Drops
Ubisoft has a decent haul lined up for Twitch viewers, with 20 Esports Packs spread across the event. Each phase has its own watch-time ladder, with the best reward at eight hours. The play-in gets you an L85A2 skin for Sledge and Thatcher, the Swiss Stage splits into a Brava set and a Smoke set, and the playoffs hand out a PARA-308 skin for Capitão and Brava.
Grand Final day has an FMG-9 skin for Smoke, Nøkk and Denari, plus a charm for watching 30 minutes of the Y11S4 reveal panel.
