Жүжигчин Гал Гадотын тоглосон “In the Hand of Dante” кино шүүмжлэгчдийн дунд хоёр талтай хүлээж авсан үнэлгээтэйгээр нээлтээ хийлээ.

Gal Gadot’s latest film has gotten off to a tough start with critics. In the Hand of Dante, the drama written by Julian Schnabel and Louise Kugelberg, has debuted with a low score on Rotten Tomatoes. The film’s early reviews have been largely divided, with critics raising issues with its storytelling. The result continues an unfortunate trend with reviews for the actress’s movies following the lackluster response to Disney’s Snow White.
In the Hand of Dante reviews aren’t great at all
Early reviews for In the Hand of Dante have been largely mixed to negative, as several critics found the project difficult to follow and uneven in its execution. Directed by Julian Schnabel and based on Nick Tosches’ 2002 novel of the same name, the drama has divided reviewers following its debut.
Reviewing the film for The Hollywood Reporter, Caryn James noted that the film remains engaging throughout. “But even when it goes off the rails, In the Hand of Dante is never dull,” she wrote. She also praised its visual style, adding, “And there is always something glorious to look at. An overhead shot of Nick floating in the black-and-white sea is an eloquent image that resonates with his increasingly broken life.” Despite its shortcomings, she described the film as “a kind of miracle in itself.”
Radio Times critic James Mottram praised Oscar Isaac’s performance but argued that much of the cast felt out of place within the story. He wrote, “With roles for Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa and Al Pacino, Schnabel’s work is packed with talent, but aside from a live-wire Isaac, it’s largely an ill-fitting cast in what too often feels like a bad episode ofThe Sopranos.” Mottram concluded that the two-and-a-half-hour feature is “a bewildering mess.”
Brian Tallerico of RogerEbert.com wrote, “Much like ‘Megalopolis’ there’s the sense that only the filmmaker fully understands what in Dante’s fiery Hell all of this is supposed to mean.”
Another Gal Gadot movie fails on Rotten Tomatoes
Gal Gadot’s latest film, In the Hand of Dante, has struggled to win over critics, debuting with a 34 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes from 32 reviews. The score follows the actress’s previous release, Disney’s Snow White, which garnered a 39 percent rating from critics based on 276 reviews and a 69 percent audience score on the platform.
