The Batman Part II‘s new teaser video shows Robert Pattinson‘s return as the Caped Crusader. The highly anticipated DC movie is helmed by Matt Reeves who also directed the first installment which was a huge critical and commercial success.
What do we see in The Batman Part II teaser video?
On Wednesday, Matt Reeves shared a logo for The Batman Part II alongside a Vimeo link on his official X account. It showed a teaser clip, titled Camera Test, for the upcoming sequel.
The video opens with the sound of cops and sirens before showing Robert Pattinson, fully suited up in his iconic Batman costume. The scene features him slowly turning toward the camera amid the snowfall in a cinematic fashion, before cutting to The Batman Part II logo.
The latest teaser video also revealed a new release date. Instead of October 1, 2027, it will now hit theaters on February 18, 2028.
While most of the movie’s details remain under wraps, various casting updates have surfaced in recent months. A lot of new faces will join the world of The Batman Part II, including Scarlett Johansson(Jurassic World Rebirth), Sebastian Stan (The Apprentice, A Different Man), Brian Tyree Henry (Eternals, Dope Thief, Atlanta), and Charles Dance (Game of Thrones).
Stan and Johansson were previously rumored to play Harvey Dent and Gilda Dent, respectively. However, a trusted insider, Jeff Sneider, claimed last month that both actors might play other characters. “As for Johansson and Dance’s roles, my sources have opted to keep them under wraps, though one said they aren’t playing big names in the Batman universe, but more like a ‘meld’ of different characters.”
There was another recent rumor that suggested Johansson could be playing Poison Ivy. Fans should take all unverified reports with a grain of salt until the makers release an official update.
