This Virginia man drove his Tesla Cybertruck 1,000 miles to buy the cheapest yacht in the US, but what he found upon arrival left him stunned.
YouTuber Carter Sharer had searched high and low for a low-cost listing.
It looked sketchy and was located 1,000 miles away, but he decided to take a chance on it.
At the very least, he’d get a decent road trip out of the whole thing, right?
This man has taken chances before – remember his Alibaba Bugatti saga?
You may recall that Sharer took a big chance when he purchased a $30,000 Alibaba Bugatti which took four months to arrive.
And even then, what was inside the box was pretty laughable.
You might think that this would dissuade him from taking risks in the future, but if you think that, you obviously mustn’t have spent much time following YouTubers.
These guys are always taking big gambles, whether it be on a Porsche from Copart or a mystery container at a cargo auction.
“Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge scam,” Sharer lamented.
“But today, I’m determined to find the actual cheapest yacht in the entire country and not get scammed.”
This had been something he’d wanted to do for a while.
“I have always dreamed of owning a yacht right here in my backyard, but the problem is they are really expensive,” he said.
“Often costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions or hundreds of millions of dollars.”
He’d lucked out finding a listing for what could be the cheapest yacht in the US, listed for $5,800.
Not that there weren’t warning signs.
There was only one picture on the listing, and with it being all the way in Connecticut, there was a risk this could be all for nothing.
Was the ‘cheapest yacht’ money well spent or a swing and a miss?
Setting out from the Team RAR mansion in North Carolina in his Tesla Cybertruck, Sharer drove northeastwards for his yacht.
It was a long trip with plenty of pitstops along the way.
At long last, they made it to a mountainous property in Connecticut where the yacht was waiting for them.
The biggest shock was its size – this was way bigger than expected.
But the engine did run, as they found when they sprayed some starter fluid inside.
With the Cybertruck up front, they drove the yacht back to North Carolina and took a look around the interior.
Inside, there was a master bedroom, a full kitchen/dining area, a lower ‘bunk’ sleeping area and a bathroom.
Unfortunately, the toilet in the bathroom had broken off its mounts during the bumpy drive home.
Whoops.
