The unusual aircraft part was once listed on eBay with an eye-watering $1,000,000 price tag before apparently finding a new owner.
Rather than putting it in a private collection or museum, the buyer decided to display it outside their home.
They also came up with a clever way to make sure nobody could walk away with it.

The Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird is one of the most iconic airplanes ever built.
Designed during the Cold War as a high-speed reconnaissance aircraft, the jet could fly at more than Mach 3 while gathering intelligence from incredible altitudes.
Its engineering was revolutionary, but not every component remained unchanged throughout the aircraft’s development.
Early SR-71 rudders were made from composite materials before Lockheed determined they weren’t strong enough for the job.
The company later switched back to a mostly titanium design, leaving the original composite rudders surplus to requirements.
Somehow, one of those retired rudders eventually found its way onto eBay.
The listing described it as an original SR-71 Blackbird vertical tail rudder with a staggering $1,000,000 asking price.
Exactly how the aircraft component made its way onto the auction site remains unclear, but reports suggest it was eventually sold.
