Fans can now stream Daniel Radcliffe’s cult-favorite comedy-drama from the comfort of their homes. The movie arrived today on Netflix, a decade after its theatrical release.
Swiss Army Man, starring Radcliffe and Paul Dano, is a 2016 surrealist comedy-drama film. It is written and directed by Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan, in their feature directorial debut.
The movie follows Hank (Dano), who finds himself stranded on a deserted island. After coming close to hanging himself, he stops when he sees a corpse (Radcliffe) wash up on the beach. Hank’s hope is restored when he discovers that the body has some unusual abilities, including incessant flatulence, that could help him survive.
Meanwhile, a close bond forms between Hank and the corpse as he finds a reason to live again. He begins using the corpse in various practical ways to survive the wilderness and find his way back home.
Swiss Army Man had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2016, with a wide theatrical release on July 1 that year.
