New set photos reveal the full extent of the damage the Batmobile is taking in The Batman Part II. Earlier this week, footage of the iconic vehicle flipping during filming surfaced online. Now, closer images of the Batmobile have been released, showing exactly how damaged the vehicle is.
The newly released images show the vehicle heavily dented, with its windows smashed. The images were posted by the Instagram account @jas.cinema, who wrote in the caption, “RIP, The Batmobile gets put to rest. After a night of filming in Glasgow, Gotham’s finest gets loaded up and taken away.”
What we know about The Batman Part II so far
Details of Matt Reeves’ much-anticipated sequel remain under wraps. However, several casting announcements and hints from the director himself have led fans to speculate about what they might see. Robert Pattinson will return as Bruce Wayne. He will be joined by Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin.
Joining the cast are Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, Charles Dance, Brian Tyree Henry, and Sebastian Koch. Sebastian Stan was reportedly set to play Harvey Dent. Johansson and Dance are reportedly set to play his wife and father, respectively. Henry and Koch’s roles remain under wraps. It is also expected that Barry Keoghan, who cameoed as The Joker in the first film, will return for the sequel.
Some fans believe Stan could eventually become Two-Face over the course of the film.
