Steven Spielberg‘s Disclosure Day is set to make its streaming debut on Peacock soon. The sci-fi thriller starring Emily Blunt and Josh O’Connor premiered in theaters on June 12, 2026.
Disclosure Day will stream exclusively on Peacock, starting Friday, October 9. The movie grossed a worldwide total of $241 million against a $115 million budget, becoming Spielberg’s highest-grossing movie since his 2018 film Ready Player One. It has received mostly positive reviews and currently holds a 79% score on Rotten Tomatoes‘ Tomatometer.
In addition to Disclosure Day, other movies from the Academy Award-winning director available to stream on Peacock include The Fabelmans, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, Saving Private Ryan, War of the Worlds, Catch Me If You Can, and The Adventures of Tintin.
The mystery at the center of Spielberg’s new sci-fi epic
Disclosure Day follows a television meteorologist who teams up with a cybersecurity analyst to disclose the existence of extraterrestrial beings and their presence on Earth. However, a government contractor does all he can to prevent them from leaking the confidential information.
This isn’t the first time Steven Spielberg has dabbled with the concept of aliens in his movies. His previous films, like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, also explore this genre.
The 79-year-old filmmaker shared his own stance on the existence of aliens during an interview with the BBC at the UK premiere of Disclosure Day. “My view has become more realistic,” he said. “There’s a lot of mystery and things that are undisclosed, but I’ve become more optimistic that people are going to be able to discover things that we have not been allowed to discover.”
Disclosure Day features an ensemble cast led by Emily Blunt as Margaret Fairchild and Josh O’Connor as Dr. Daniel Kellner. The movie also stars Colin Firth, Eve Hewson, Colman Domingo, Wyatt Russell, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, and many more.
