Star Wars has never been so back, as the legendary studio that gave us prime racecar titles like Burnout has taken Anakin Skywalker’s youthful hobbies on Tatooine and birthed the best racing game of this generation.
Galactic Racer is taking the world by storm, combining the best bits from Burnout, Mario Kart, and the Galaxy Far, Far Away to create a high-octane racing title that offers endless adrenaline hits.
Dopamine-inflicting, rustic, gritty, difficult, and hilarious, the title has broken two decades of precedent in the Star Wars series, and has earned a huge reception from critics.
“Star Wars Galactic Racer is an electrifying take on one of the best spin-offs in the franchise,” we wrote in our 9/10 review, matching the sentiment of many other outlets.
Yet it’s not just fans of the saber-slashing series that are going bananas over the new franchise favourite, as Lucasfilm has also applauded the title, hot off the back of the viral character Biddy Blas.

Doing everything that Lucasfilm wished Jar Jar could do, Biddy Blas has become an internet sensation as his incredible dialogue lines have lit up every player’s face.
Jabba-ring away in his Huttese language, Biddy Blas tells you just how incredible he is, but the ego-centric spiel is far from obnoxious and is actually rather heartwarming.
So much so that I’ve already annoyed colleagues and friends by consistently booming the jest “Scrib Doon!”
The new meme king has become a frequent algorithm buster, despite being a menace in pod racing, handing your character an explosive gift that will wreak havoc in your ship.

Having become the talk of the town, Lucasfilm Games Producer Craig Derrick has now taken to social media to hail the game and, of course, the unintentional main character.
“It’s amazing to see so many people loving Galactic Racer!” he said on X.
“Thank you for all the kind words! Every one of my social feeds is filled with posts about the game… while the algorithm continues to properly prioritize Mister Biddy Blas. I love it.”
Players have been full of praise for the frustratingly lovable character.
“I would like to say I’d die for Biddy Blas, but at the same time, I have also slammed him into a wall at like 500mph multiple times at this stage,” one fan said.
Another added, “Biddy Blas is hilarious, I’m going to kill him.”
