The veteran filmmaker last helmed a feature with the Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio-starrer Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood in 2019. While many fans await Tarantino’s return to directing, he has opted for a different role this time around.

Over the course of his illustrious career, Quentin Tarantino has directed some of the most acclaimed films in history. However, his upcoming project is not as a director, but as an actor.
The Pulp Fiction director is working on a new project with Welsh filmmaker Jamie Adams, known for making improvised-style films. Tarantino will be sharing scenes with Australian pop singer Kylie Minogue. Reportedly, Yale Entertainment is serving as the production company (via Variety). The studio has previously produced titles like The Kill Room, Stowaway, The Clean Up Crew, and Alone Together.
Details about the film, such as its title and story, are kept under wraps. However, the filming recently took place in Porthcawl, where scenes involving a funeral and a wake were shot at local locations. Both Tarantino and Minogue were seen on the set (via Nation.Cymru). The cast also includes Welsh actors Karen Paullada, Craig Russell, Siwan Morris, and Julian Lewis Jones.
This is not the first time Tarantino and Adams have worked on a film. They recently collaborated on a comedy-drama, Only What We Carry, which was screened at the Tribeca Festival this month. In the film, the Kill Bill director was part of the cast, playing John Percy, a wealthy character.
The story follows a former student who returns home and is drawn back into long-buried personal truths on the Normandy coast. Its cast also included Simon Pegg, Sofia Boutella, Liam Hellmann, and Charlotte Gainsbourg.
The new movie continues Adams and Tarantino’s partnership, though more information is expected to be announced later. Meanwhile, the veteran is working on Bounty Law, a five-part Western television series based on the fictional show featured in Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood.
