Доминиканы Бүгд Найрамдах Улсын тоглогч MenaRD Лас Вегас хотноо зохион байгуулагдсан EVO 2026 тэмцээнд Street Fighter 6 төрлөөр аваргалж, хоёр жил дараалан түрүүлсэн амжилтыг үзүүллээ.

The Dominican Republic’s absolute powerhouse just rolled into Las Vegas for EVO 2026 and essentially rewrote the history books, proving that trying to take his crown is a fantastic way to get your feelings hurt.
Facing down a massive field of 2,416 hungry players at the Las Vegas Convention Center, MenaRD walked out as a back-to-back EVO champion. He did it with a blend of swagger, character swaps, and a green, electrocuting beast that nightmares are made of.

While past heavy hitters like EVO Japan champion Yamaguchi went MIA during the final bracket run, MenaRD looked like he was just enjoying a casual Sunday stroll. That was until he ran into Shigematsu, a young Japanese phenom who clearly didn’t get the memo that MenaRD was supposed to win easily.
MenaRD came out swinging with M. Bison, but Shigematsu refused to back down, matching him blow for blow until the score read a sweaty 2-2. MenaRD had to swap over to his signature Blanka to clutch out the final game, earning his spot in the upper bracket final.
From there, he absolutely dismantled France’s Kilzyou with a merciless 3-0 Blanka masterclass, treating the semi-finals like a warm-up routine.
A Wild Blanka Mirror Appears
You have to respect Shigematsu. After being kicked down to the lower bracket, the kid went on an absolute tear, flattening everyone in his path to set up a Grand Finals rematch.
MenaRD decided to get a little experimental to kick off the final showdown, opting to start with M. Bison again. It was a bold strategy, and it nearly blew up in his face. Shigematsu absorbed everything MenaRD learned from their first set and went full autopilot-destroyer mode, taking three straight games and resetting the bracket. For a quick second, the champ looked human.
Then came the final set, and MenaRD decided playtime was officially over. He brought back the Blanka, and Shigematsu met him with a Blanka of his own. We got a grand final Blanka mirror match for the first time in EVO history.
History Has a Favorite Color
If you play Blanka against the master of Blanka, you are playing with fire. MenaRD put on an absolute clinic under the bright Vegas lights. The pressure was sky-high, but that is exactly where the Strongest Bull thrives. He read Shigematsu like a children’s book, dropping a flawless 3-0 sweep to lock down his fourth overall EVO title.
When asked about the historic back-to-back achievement afterward, a humbled MenaRD credited his team and the community around him (something he does quite often). He remains the undisputed king of the hill, and until someone figures out how to tame the bull, the rest of the FGC is just playing for second place.
