NCIS: New York has expanded its cast ahead of its fall debut. Jennifer Beals joins the CBS spin-off alongside three new series regulars. The next chapter in the long-running NCIS franchise is taking shape. CBS has added four more actors to NCIS: New York, giving the upcoming drama a bigger team before cameras begin rolling later this month.

Jennifer Beals has signed on as a series regular, joining returning franchise favorite LL COOL J and Hawaii Five-0 star Scott Caan. Beals will play Robyn Wells, the director of the NCIS New York field office.
From the way the character is described, she’s the kind of leader who trusts her instincts, stays calm under pressure, and has built strong respect among the people she works with. She’ll oversee Sam Hanna, reprised by LL COOL J from NCIS: Los Angeles, and Scott Caan’s new character, Nick Schaeffer (via TV Line).
Jennifer Beals has stayed a familiar face on television long after her breakthrough in Flashdance. Many fans know her best as Bette Porter from The L Word, a role she later revisited in The L Word: Generation Q.
Over the years, she’s also appeared in series like Law & Order: Organized Crime, The Book of Boba Fett, The Night Shift, and Lie to Me. With that kind of résumé, her casting gives the upcoming spin-off another major name and adds even more star power to its expanding lineup.
CBS has also added Jacqueline Byers, Shane Harper, and Devin Druid as series regulars. Byers will portray Special Agent Addy Ross, Harper plays Special Agent Wyatt Hill, and Druid takes on the role of technology expert Sean Sullivan. The trio will work alongside Sam and Nick as the new team tackles high-stakes investigations across New York City and one of the world’s busiest ports.
Very few TV franchises have lasted as long as NCIS. The mix of military crime cases, strong character relationships, and team chemistry has kept audiences coming back year after year. As the universe has grown, several spin-offs have helped keep the franchise fresh while staying true to what fans enjoy most.
