Marvel’s Wolverine trailer teases an epic fight sequence against Omega Red and Deathstrike. The PlayStation game by Insomniac Games features the X-Men in cinematic combat as he bares his claws against foes and fights alongside his fellow mutants.
The synopsis reads, “Experience an original take on Marvel legend Wolverine as he joins forces with mutants across the globe in a fight for survival. Standing against forces like Bolivar Trask, Omega Red, Deathstrike, and more… Logan knows the world needs a hero; however, they’ll have to settle for Wolverine”
Marvel’s Wolverine sets up a war for mutant survival
The upcoming PlayStation game featuring the iconic Marvel mutant sets the stage for a war in which the X-Men must fight for survival. After retiring from being Wolverine, his past catches up to him. Three years after he left the team, Logan rejoins the mutant task force, Team X, when they need a hero the most.
The main threat in the game is Bolivar Trask, who is blinded by his fanatical belief in human superiority. Team X must fight the threat alongside other adversaries, including the cybernetic militias, Omega Red, Deathstrike, and more.
To ensure the future of the mutants is safe, Wolverine and his teammates must team up with other mutants across the globe in locations like Japan, Canada, and the Marvel island nation of Madripoor.
The PlayStation game is packed with action-adventure gameplay and is available on the PlayStation Store in two editions. The Standard Edition contains a copy of the game. On the other hand, the Deluxe Edition provides a copy of the game, five executive suits and claws, four technique points, and four PlayStation avatars, along with a classic brown suit and reflective claws as part of the early unlock deal.
Moreover, the PlayStation Direct store has launched a limited-edition Wolverine-themed console. Marvel’s Wolverine game and limited-edition controllers are set to launch on September 15, 2026.
