It became the highest-grossing movie of 2020 globally, making it the first non-American and non-Hollywood production to lead the annual worldwide box office.The film also surpassed Hayao Miyazaki’s Spirited Away to become the highest-grossing movie in Japanese box office history at the time.

What is Demon Slayer –Kimetsu no Yaiba– The Movie: Mugen Train about?
Mugen Train carries forward the story from the first season of Demon Slayer. Tanjiro Kamado continues searching for a way to restore his sister Nezuko. She was turned into a demon during Muzan Kibutsuji’s slaughter of their family.
Tanjiro boards the mysterious Mugen Train with Nezuko and fellow Demon Slayer Corps members Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. More than 40 passengers disappear from the train, leading the Demon Slayer Corps to investigate what is happening.
The group is joined by Kyojuro Rengoku, the powerful Flame Hashira. Rengoku quickly becomes an important mentor for Tanjiro and the others as they discover that a demon has taken control of the train.
Their adversary is Enmu, Lower Rank One of the Twelve Kizuki. He uses supernatural abilities to manipulate dreams and trap the passengers and Demon Slayers in their subconscious.
As the characters struggle to escape the illusions, the situation becomes increasingly dangerous. The battle eventually pushes the Demon Slayers into one of their most difficult fights, with consequences that continue to affect the story beyond the movie.
