The new Urus is very fast, very powerful, and very yellow.
Which never hurts.
And there’s another feature we have to mention.
The engine is the star of the show
While the E in the name stands for electric, the Lamborghini Urus SE isn’t fully electric.
It is powered by a hybrid setup with an electric motor and a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, producing a grand total of 812 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.
The Urus also comes with a new look, with a sleeker front end, a full carbon fiber hood, upgraded bumpers, new twin rear spoilers for extra downforce, and Akrapovic exhaust system, which comes as standard.
Another new feature is the AURA dual-chamber air suspension.
Not a first for a Lambo, but indeed a first for the Urus.
Lamborghini replaced the stiff steel coils with dual chambers and dual-valve dampers.
The system can instantly stiffen up to slash body roll by 55 percent during high-speed cornering, or soften to filter out 25 percent more road vibration when you just want to cruise.
As for the cabin, the entire cockpit is wrapped in CorsaTex by Dinamica – a specialized microfiber made in Italy designed to lock your body into the seat during hard cornering.
You also get a revised, aviation-inspired switch panel and dual 12.3-inch digital displays running a bespoke graphic interface.
Naturally, the digital dashboard reconfigures itself for multiple driving modes, including the ultimate ace up this 812-horsepower SUV’s sleeve: Rally mode.

Presumably, Lamborghini knows that most customers are never actually going to use this off-road.
But it’s important to know that they could if they wanted to.
The Lamborghini Urus SE Performante has five driving modes: Strada, Sport, Corsa, Rally and Electric.
With Rally mode engaged, the system recalibrates the electronic stability control and the central differential to allow for controlled oversteer – meaning the car sends a heavy bias of its 801 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Simultaneously, the advanced AURA dual-chamber air suspension system subtly softens its dampening parameters to absorb harsh ruts and bumps, while a predictive 6D sensor and an Integrated Power Brake controller continuously modulate the brakes.
This keeps the massive SUV completely stable and predictable.
This is a proper rally SUV now.
It’s an expensive one, though.
Lamborghini hasn’t officially confirmed the exact starting MSRP yet, but the ‘standard’ Urus SE starts at around $260,000.
Given the track and off-road hardware upgrades, the premium titanium exhaust, and the power bump to 801 hp, the Performante version is expected to easily cross the $300k mark before options.
