Karma came back to bite a bare-knuckle fighter who decided to kick his opponent out of the ring during a BKB event in England on Saturday.
James Springer was engaged in a wild exchange with Arnado Vargas when he effectively tossed his opponent to the ground and then kicked him out of the ring. While that could have easily led to a disqualification, the referee allowed the fight to continue with Vargas showing no signs of damage from falling out of the ring.
He even took time to dance a little bit before getting back into the fight.
A minute later, Vargas unloaded a hellacious right hand that blasted Springer and sent him to the canvas in a heap. There was no 10 count necessary as Springer was clearly unconscious and the referee waved off the fight with Vargas getting the knockout victory.
It was a crazy scene but one that Vargas isn’t likely to forget any time soon while Springer might need someone to explain to him what exactly happened after he got flatlined in the ring.
