The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star and Hsu tied the knot in France nearly four years after their relationship became public. The couple had announced their engagement in 2025 before their recent wedding.

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu are officially married after exchanging vows in France over the weekend of October 3, 2026. A source confirmed the news to PEOPLE, while TMZ was the first to report it. Liu and Hsu had been together for almost four years before getting married.
Their relationship first became public in November 2022. The couple shared their first relationship post on Instagram on November 20, 2022, and made a joint appearance at the Violent Night premiere later that month. Liu proposed to Hsu in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower serving as the background in a romantic setting.
The couple revealed their engagement on May 11, 2025, through a joint Instagram post featuring several photographs from the proposal. Hsu also showed off the diamond ring Liu gave her. “Us forever,” Hsu wrote in the caption.
The wedding followed months of preparation, with Liu previously discussing the process during a February interview with PEOPLE. He said planning had been “really wonderful,” but admitted that the expenses involved had become his least favorite part. “Everything’s been good. I would say we’re at the point now where it’s probably my least favorite, it’s where I’m finding out how much everything costs,” he shared.
Liu also said the final cost can exceed expectations regardless of how much a couple plans to spend. The actor noted, “And I really do think no matter what your budget is, it’s always going to cost more than you think. Everything always costs more than you think. That’s definitely true for us as well.”
