French insider and leaker Sébastien “KRL” Perez has reported that 3DMAX owe €1.5M+ (about $1.75 million USD) “to players, staff and other parties” following the collapse of a potential deal with French YouTuber Cyril “CYRILmp4” Soudant.

French insider and leaker Sébastien “KRL” Perez has reported that 3DMAX owe €1.5M+ (about $1.75 million USD) “to players, staff and other parties” following the collapse of a potential deal with French YouTuber Cyril “CYRILmp4” Soudant.

A large portion of this debt presumably originates from an earlier “scam by a former partner of the organization,” details of which CEO Stéphane Pons revealed in February. “We are talking about the team’s entire revenue, including stickers,” he said.

Spanish org Heretics were reportedly close to purchasing the roster and alleviating much of 3DMAX’s resulting debt, but negotiations yielded no agreements. ENVY were also interested in the team at one point, according to KRL, as were Luminosity and TSM.

The latest deal to save 3DMAX centered around prominent French content creator CYRILmp4, who also decided against the proposed terms. With several options exhausted and multiple potential buyers dissuaded, 3DMAX’s chances of recovering what was lost seem to only grow smaller.
