This billionaire’s car collection is truly exceptional, decked out with some of the world’s rarest 1-of-1 cars from Bugatti to Ferrari.
German billionaire Friedhelm Loh owns this collection, which is stored inside the Nationales Automuseum.
It’s got a whole range of cars in there, from vintage gems to hypercar titans.
And one YouTube channel had the golden opportunity to pay it a visit.
This car collection is on a whole other level
YouTube channel Daily Driven Exotics had the honor of visiting this car collection to feast their eyes on it.
These guys – as their channel name suggests – have seen a lot of uber-impressive cars.
So for them to be left stunned, you know this collection had to be something exemplary.
The oldest car in this collection was from 1895 and would have been driven using candle headlights.
Then there was a 1906 vehicle featuring Porsche-invented electric wheel hubs, which would go on to be converted into one of the world’s first hybrid cars.
Another vintage gem was a Duesenberg built by two German brothers who had moved to the US in 1915.
When it was built, it cost $20,000 at a time when the average annual salary was $400.
It’s no wonder the phrase ‘It’s a doozy’ came from this car.
The car’s first owner was a man called George Whittle Jr., who was wealthy on account of selling his stock before the Great Depression.
“He had six Duesenbergs, and he had a baby elephant, a private jail on his premises for all his friends who couldn’t pay their poker debts,” the guide explained.
That sounds like a man who knows how to spend his money.
There’s also the fascinating fact that this car doubled as a fire engine.
We can’t imagine it got all that much use in emergencies, but it’s a cool backstory.
The more modern end of the collection is just as fascinating
On the other end of the scale are some more modern cars that still carry a lot of character.
For example, the Maybach Exelero and Maybach 57 SC make appearances alongside hypercar heavyweights like the Ferrari Daytona SP3, McLaren P1, and the Koenigsegg Jesko.
The last surviving Mercedes-Benz CLR is also here.
Plenty of F1 cars were also featured here, like Michael Schumacher’s 2004 F1 car – arguably Ferrari’s most successful Formula 1 chassis as it won 8 out of its 11 races.
Niki Lauda’s signed 1974 Ferrari F1 car is also there.
All in all, the team were very impressed by what they’d seen.
“I don’t think there’s anywhere else in the world you’re going to see this level of like preservation of historic iconic racing cars…” one of the hosts remarked.

A ton of car collections have risen to the forefront in recent years, thanks in no short part to YouTube.
Plenty of YouTubers have given spotlights to car collections.
